    Frame Style

    Erected in 1859, by W.W, Corcoran, Esq. to house the Corcoran Art Gallery; the Civil War broke out before it could be opened and the building was occupied by the Quartermaster General's Department, U.S.A. The structure was finally conveyed by the donor in 1869 to a Board of Trustees, incorporated in 1870. Corcoran's collection of Fine Arts was opened to the public in 1873 and continued to be exhibited here until completion of the present Corcoran Gallery in 1897. That year the Government acquired the old building for use of the Court of Claims. The building was designed by James Renwick.

    Our classic frame is handmade by Guild recognized framers and created from high-quality wood, milled with simple clean lines and presented with a satin finish. Delivered fully strung ready for hanging

    Our Paper

    Our Enhanced Matte Art (EMA) substrate is a premium-quality heavyweight paper with a gently textured surface. This 200gsm museum quality paper is sourced exclusively from Hahnemühle, the world’s most famous papermaker and supplied directly to our print labs. Our print process provides exceptional tonality and renders sharp details with consistency.

    Our Mats

    For the matted / mounted prints we use a thick 1.4mm window mount cut from premium, textured mountboard. All mounts are "conservation grade", FSC certified, 100% acid free, and will not discolour or fade with age.

    Printing and Shipping (COVID)

    Print only products (no frames) are being delivered on average within 5-7 calendar days of payment. 

    Framed products are being delivered on average within 7-10 calendar days of payment. 

    Each product is still hand made at the time of order.
